What is your first impression with this photo? Someone riding a bike on sky? Yeah that’s what I intended to impress. creative photography

In 2018, I was with a special event “Cykel” organized by my university, cycling around Polonnaruwa city Sri Lanka. It was a one day event and we reached Parakrama Samudra tank, Polonnaruwa by the evening. While I and my friends were chilling on the river bank with our bicycles, this idea came in to my mind. creative photography

Though there isn’t a big concept here, there are some facts to be considered when taking this kind of photo. Majority can’t get a better output as these facts are not considered. So let’s jump into the process I followed for this creation. creative photography

For this first you must select a flat surface with less visible background objects (avoid huge trees, towers etc.). This is why most of photographers tend to shoot this kind of photos in beach environments.  creative photography

As you can see, that guy is lying on the tank bund and he is holding/balancing the bicycle with his legs and hands.

The most considerable fact as well as the missing fact most probably is balancing the same horizontal level of the bicycle wheels. That balancing gives the perfect vibe of riding the bicycle on the sky.

And maintaining horizontally leveled horizon lines also gives a considerable mean to the picture.

The handle should hold straight without any tilts.

Snapping on a cloudy sky may give a more realistic ground vibe to the picture.
